Hi, I'm Joyce. I help women—especially those over 40—reclaim their strength, confidence, and fire to thrive in every phase of life.
Born and raised in Brazil, I came to the U.S. in 2010 as an au pair, eager to learn English and expand my horizons. What started as a one-year adventure turned into a journey of transformation.
I returned in 2013 as an international student, working hard toward a degree in Information Technology while juggling odd jobs and adapting to a new culture. Like many women, I put my head down and did what I had to do—but somewhere along the way, I lost connection with my body and my well-being.
When I couldn't afford to continue my education, I boldly joined the U.S. Army. I wasn't in shape at the time, so I joined a gym and hired an online nutrition coach. What started as training for basic training turned into something much bigger: I fell in love with the feeling of being strong and capable. I became a certified coach and started helping others unlock that same power in themselves.
During my military career, I trained in emergency medicine, jumped out of airplanes, and lived in Italy for over three years. I had unforgettable experiences—but I also faced chronic injuries, mental health challenges, and the harsh reality of being a woman in a male-dominated system. I often felt like I didn't belong, no matter how hard I tried to prove myself. Eventually, I stopped trying to prove anything to anyone.
While stationed in Fort Bliss, TX, I chose instead to lead with compassion and authenticity. I mentored my soldiers, prioritized my own healing, and learned the real meaning of strength, including rest, boundaries, and unapologetic self-worth. When I left the Army in 2024, I went with a fire in my heart. What I had experienced—and witnessed—left me determined to create something better for women.
That's why I created The Fierce Method—a holistic fitness and coaching program for women tired of the noise, done with the guilt, and ready to feel strong in every way that matters. It's built for women 40 and older who want to move, feel, and live bolder.
I'm currently earning my Master's in Health Education and Wellness Coaching at the University of Utah so I can continue serving women with science-backed, soul-filled support. Because I believe this deeply:
You are not too far gone. You are not too late. Your best years are not behind you—they're just getting started.
And fierce? Fierce has no expiration date. Neither do you.
